Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik

Rubrik is our backup system for Microsoft 365 resources. The major use case for Rubrik Polaris so far has been for Exchange Online backups, OneDrive documents and file backup. Our license covers every single user in the organization as we want to ensure everyone in our Microsoft tenant is protected.
  • Setup of Rubrik Polaris was extremely easy.
  • We can easily create backup policies.
  • User interface is fairly straightforward, and easy to navigate.
  • Backup of Microsoft Teams chat is not available yet.
  • Backup of contacts/calendar/notes is not available.
  • There is currently no IDP login for SAML yet.
  • Time saver due to how easy it was to setup and manage.
  • Pricing is competitive compared to other M365 backup products.
  • Features are slightly lacking compared to more mature M365 backup products.
Commvault is not able to properly backup M365 files stored in OneDrive as they had presented in documentation such as OneNote.

Backupify was a mature platform, had many great features and storage was included for backups, however if you were to stop using Backupify, there was no easy way to export and migrate existing backups.

Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
I would 100% recommend Rubrik a colleague that is looking for a Microsoft 365 backup product. The product is quite solid so far, and there are supposed to be additional features added/ improved upon on. I've used other backup products and Rubrik is so straightforward that it is a no brainer M365 backup.

Using Rubrik

200 - Rubrik protects the data for our entire organization, this includes every department, such as accounting, operations, technology, legal, human resources, and facilities. However it is a few users that interact with Rubrik daily for recovery and backup management. This would be the helpdesk team. They would assist users on their request on restoring files.
6 - Supporting Rubrik is fairly basic, with Polaris, its cloud service, so we as long as our Azure resources are configured properly and accessible by Rubrik, it generally runs smoothly. However if there are technical issues, our helpdesk team of six would reach out to Rubrik support and request assistance on backup and restore errors.
