Overall Satisfaction with RUN Powered by ADP®
We post all our job listings through HR features, such as ZipRecruiter and HireClick, which have generated a lot of traffic. I don't currently use the employee handbook wizard, but I would like to explore it once I have more time.
We use ADP solely for running payroll. We use the platform to keep track of vacation, but we are not utilizing deductions such as 401k. I am hoping to get started on the handbook to send out to our employees.
Pros
- The website is easy to navigate.
- Customer support is most of the time able to take care of any issues.
Cons
- More check points to review before submitting payroll would be nice.
- Sometimes creating your own report is confusing.
- Rollover PTO can be confusing for hourly payroll when the next payroll that includes hours from the previous year might not carry over correctly.
- A negative impact would be if there is a correction, we want the employee to be able to see the correction has occurred on their pay stub.
- Positive impact: I was headed to a funeral and needed to run payroll, and I was able to do it from the app (while in the car). very helpful.
The employee access portal is great! Typically, all the information the employees are looking for is available at their fingertips, which minimizes the time spent trying to get in to see me and ask how much PTO they have left for the year. I have heard only good things about the online employee access portal.
I have saved time using the mobile app. I didn't know there was an automatic tax deduction and filing system. This is something I would like to explore further.
I love the new mobile app.. As mentioned earlier, I had to attend a funeral unexpectedly, which was the day I needed to run payroll for hourly and semi-monthly employees. I had brought my laptop to run the payroll, but my hotspot wasn't connecting to the computer. I jumped on the mobile app and was able to run the payroll seamlessly. I was happy it worked to avoid delays in the payroll process.
I wasn't involved with the implementation of RUN, and I believe this is the only product we have ever used. It works very nicely, so we haven't seen a reason for needing to switch products.

Evaluating RUN Powered by ADP® and Competitors
Yes - Run ADP didn't necessarily replace a different product but rather replaced how we conduct the service. We used to farm out our payroll to an outside company. We decided to replace that avenue with Run Powered by ADP to save on costs, have more autonomy around payroll, and operations in house to reduce errors.
- Cloud Solutions
- Ease of Use
It is hard to say what the single most important factor in our company's decision to purchase RUN powered by ADP since I was not involved in the decision. I can gather that an important factor was saving on costs while ensuring the program was easy to use. It wouldn't make sense to transition if it were difficult to use.
Again, it is hard to say how to process went when deciding to transition into the RUN powered by ADP because I was not involved in the initial decision. However, I do not believe we would have changed anything about our process. I think we spent ample time making sure we were making the right move.

I had an issue at the beginning of this year - I have since scrubbed the details of this issue from my brain because it was so frustrating. I had called many times trying to resolve this issue and one customer service representative took the time to review my previous phone calls and was able to take care of my issue.
