Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is our financial system that is used mainly within the Finance department. Currently, our development and operations departments have access to pull reports and create invoices. We use it keep track of all of our financial data and provide reporting to both internal and external parties.

Pros

  • User-friendly - most aspects of Intacct are extremely user-friendly. The menus are easy to follow.
  • Reporting - the reporting templates that are available are extremely helpful and detailed.
  • Customization - unlike our last financial system, we were really able to structure the software to what we needed.

Cons

  • Custom reports - while you have to ability to create custom reports, it is not user friendly to create them. There are SO MANY different aspects of the report, it's really hard to know what you are looking for. It would great if report templates could be duplicated so you could change or add something easily without having to recreate the whole thing.
  • Positive impact - easier reporting for all departments
  • Positive impact - return on investment
Yes! We have definitely benefited from the automation. What used to take several steps in our old system, now takes less time, less effort, and less frustration to do. The processes are well laid out and easy to understand. It can be hard to get used to figuring out where things are located, but once learned, it's pretty easy.
Integration was a long and difficult process, but I believe the way we wanted to set it up was partially to blame. Our consultants were there every step of the way and worked with us to make sure we could understand how everything was set up. Integration felt a little rushed sometimes and it would have been nice to have some more specific training on our business model instead of a generic one.
It is well suited for companies that want flexibility in how their system is set up. I think this can help both large and small companies. The more complex the finances of a company the better. I don't think companies that have simpler setups would benefit from all of the things this software has to offer for the price.
