Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Our clients use Sage Intacct to enhance their non-profit reporting and visibility.

The reporting and user/purpose specific dashboards save management time in distributing reports, and also provide real time info.

Pros

  • Filtered reports, views, and dashboards make for speedy information access.
  • The permissioning and role setup is pretty straight forward. I really like that we can limit user access to entities and departments in multi-entity environments.
  • The user preferences and setting up of dashboards and other screens as home pages makes for a nice wow-factor in demos.

Cons

  • The project dimension has some limitations for reports. We cannot filter account groups on project groups, which is really frustrating when building project based reports.
  • The ability to print individual reports by dimensions other than locations and departments would be really helpful.
  • I honestly don't know.
Automation has been very helpful for the month end reconciliation/close of the subledgers. We also really like the automation that comes with integrating 3rd party solutions like Bill.com/Tallie, etc.
Project costing and labor hour tracking in the project module is really helpful, especially for clients billing for hours or looking for more advanced step allocations.

Multi-entity and multi-currency processing is also a vital functionality that we need for many of our clients.

I have not employed spend management or contract management yet.
The web service user setup and security set up is very straight forward. It's great for clients that need Bi360/Adaptive, Bill.com, or Tallie.

Integrations for CRM/Salesforce are a bit more difficult to set up and aren't available for SIAP clients, so that part has been a struggle for our group. The expense and AP integrations have been great.
So much easier to implement and run reports than on-premise solutions like Microsoft Dyanmics GP/SL, or Sage.

The dashboards are so easy to set up and user friendly, so they are great value adds and differentiations.
Sage Intacct is great for non-profits looking for best in breed solutions. We sync our clients to Bill.com/Tallie, etc. and having the ability to provide these solutions easily is great.

Clients with more than 3 business users are tough fits from pricing stand point because nfp's are generally very budget conscience.
