Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is our primary accounting system. We have integrated it with our website to create invoices, bills, etc. It helps that all users can access the system from anywhere, and the reliability of the software is great.

Pros

  • Audit trails for changes made to documents.
  • Reporting features are robust, even though they take a while to learn.
  • Filters and list views are customizable for transactions.

Cons

  • The reporting feature is not intuitive.
  • The ability to reverse transactions does not translate well when a company has created "custom dimensions."
  • It would be nice if they had a better system for issuing 1099's.
  • Sage Intacct has reduced the number of errors we have seen in previous non-cloud based accounting systems whenever we need to import transactions.
  • Sage Intacct is generally easy to use, and new members to our accounting team have learned the system quickly.
  • We feel that the information we have in Sage Intact is much more reliable than other systems.
We used a Sage Intacct partner to help with our implementation and integration. There was much difficulty communicating directly with Sage Intacct after we started working with their implementation partner. We had to go through the partner to ask any question, slowing down communication considerably.
Sage Intacct is superior to Quickbooks and can handle much more robust features. We selected Sage Intacct because it was cloud-based and could integrate with our cloud platforms.
Sage is well suited for larger companies that handle thousands of transactions, have multiple locations, or need to integrate with existing cloud-based systems. It is less appropriate for small companies that do not need advanced accounting functionality.
