Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is being used across the entire organization. It is used to do the day to day accounting, run financial statements, dashboards, graphs, and tracking program budgets. It makes budget tracking easier for the program staff. We use Accounts Payable for our US and Canadian locations. Sometimes a US expense is paid in CAD currency and vice versa. Accounts payable has transaction and base currency. So, the expenses is paid in transaction currency and booked in base currency in the correct location.
  • Budget vs actual reports can be run by dept. managers in real time. They can also drill down to see the detailed general ledger of the expense account. In the past, they used to come to the accounting dept. to run the detailed for them.
  • Dashboards - Are used by board and management to see the financial and statistical data.
  • Multi-currency - This helps the Canadian office to track their expenses in CAD currency.
  • Allocations - They were done manually in the old system. With Sage Intacct, after entering the rates, the allocation journal entry is posted automatically.
  • Journal entries- Account numbers can be changed with a click of a button. no need to make correcting journal entries.
  • Cannot run GL reports by journal type.
  • Custom reporting is a little difficult.
  • Saved time by automating manual processes.
Haven't come across any integration issues.
Sage Intacct is well suited for locations in different countries with different currencies. It is also well suited for nonprofit organizations as some canned reports comply with the new standards. Intacct keeps up with the changes in nonprofit accounting.
