Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct is used for the majority of our accounting needs. We are currently using the contracts module, prepaids module, and dashboards in addition to the base accounting product. We are using Sage Intacct to address our issues with automating our workflow and reducing the amount of time it takes for everyday tasks. Our integration with concur and salesforce with Intacct specifically allows us to automate and provide better reporting internally. Sage Intacct is only currently being used by the Finance department.
Pros
- I find Sage Intacct incredibly easy to navigate and use as the user interface has been upgraded recently to be more user friendly to new users.
- The product has a number of modules that we use that work seamlessly together such as Prepaids, Contracts, and Time and Expense and do not require much additional training in order to use.
- I find the General Ledger Report is particularly useful for me in investigating variances, errors, etc. I am always able to narrow down what I am looking for using the search parameters and by clicking into transactions to find the originating entries.
Cons
- The support system is also not very user-friendly and rarely gets any issues resolved. The support staff don't seem very knowledgeable and seem to have very limited accounting knowledge.
- Sage Intacct seems to be designed for USD users first and there have been several instances of modules not working properly because we use CAD as our transaction currency and USD as our base currency.
- There needs to be more automation included for foreign currencies, we cannot use the ACH payments module in Intacct to pay vendors from our bank because we are using CAD and Canadian banks.
- The amount of time the accounts payable takes to enter vendor invoices into Sage Intacct with our invoice capture API with Concur saves an enormous amount of time for our A/P accountant.
I have only used Intacct since I started my career in accounting 5 years ago.
