Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Sage as an accounting software - record transactions, produce reports and financial statements, manage budgets and track expenses, etc. Sage allows us to automate report creation, reduce the amount of manual accounting work and, therefore, provide financial information to decision-makers faster.

Pros and Cons

Project Tracking.
Financial Reporting.
Ease of use and potential for automation.

It has limited reporting capabilities for Projects and Classes.
We can't integrate PayPal with AR in Canada.
No sleek way to set up rules for calculating and separating tax rebates (for a charity).

Return on Investment

Implementing Sage helped us to produce monthly reports two times faster without hiring an additional staff person.
I am now able to populate funders' reports directly from Sage without using Excel.

Sage Intacct Configuration

I worked with a vendor during my first implementation and had a great experience. I was able to configure most of it myself during my second implementation.

I implemented Sage in two organizations and love working with it. It saves a lot of time for my accounting team and is very user-friendly and intuitive. Importing data is easy, with lots of potential to automate the processes. I wish Project and Class dimensions had equal reporting capabilities as Location and Department, but those limitations can be overcome.
