Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Sage Intacct’s report writer is beneficial for double-checking our ending NAV and total PCAP for our PE clients. We also integrate it with Qlick to generate financial reports. We also use Sage Intacct to book partner journal entries, a sub-ledger where we can track how profits and losses are being split.
Pros
- Duplicate journal entries.
- Customizable reports.
- Integration with other software.
Cons
- Partner journal entries cannot be automatically generated.
- Does not seem optimized for funds as investors (for PE clients).
- Error messages on importing journal entries can be confusing.
- This allows us to take on clients that require providing clients with access to the accounting system for review.
- Allow us to take on clients that require ILPA via integration with other software.
- Reviewing the general ledger can be difficult due to the volume of pje entries.
We have not taken advantage of this.
We have not used these modules.
Sage intact is miles ahead of GP. I think the biggest difference is the ability to customize it to a high level, and it is also much more modern. We particularly like the ability to copy journal entries, which has proven helpful in training new employees. We also like the ability to create custom reports without the need for customer service or IT support.
