Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

I have used Sage Intacct at 2 different organizations. Sage has been able to streamline our monthly reporting and made our daily processes easier. We have been able to take advantage of asking questions in the Sage Community and Training.

Pros

  • I have asked Sage Community numerous questions, and they have been able to help
  • Sage offers numerous training classes that i have taken that provides extra tidbits of information that I may have missed, if end up missing a training session, the session is recorded and sent to you afterwards
  • They have 4 new release updates per year, this shows their dedication to improving the software

Cons

  • Ideas are presented in the Community that are voted on that should be reviewed as part of the new release process. They can look at the ideas with the most votes and see if they are feasible for a new release
  • Interactive Custom Report Writer would be a better reporting tool if the training was better. The advance reporting training was okay, and it touched on the basics of ICRW but there should be more training dedicated to this powerful reporting tool.
  • We have a number User Defined Dimensions and Sage Intacct does not treat them like normal dimensions. Would like them to be treated like a normal dimension with the ability to make inactive
  • Overall it has streamlined our general processes, hard to put an ROI on Sage Intacct since its intangible
We are currently starting to look into the AP automation process
I worked with an external vendor to migrate from Sage 50 to Sage Intacct and overall the process was rather seamless.

Sage Intacct is best suited for small to mid-size companies looking to streamline their processes. It is fairly user friendly and as the Finance Systems Manager in charge of Sage Intacct report development and all things Sage it is a great overall Software program. It does however fall short in formatting for reporting and looking to their community base for what they should be implementing for new releases.
