Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce for Nonprofits

Salesforce is the backend database for our website. As it is for most organizations, we manage a ton of data and data is super valuable. Being able to aggregate that data and put it in a form where it's easy to understand is super important for us. Keeping track of donors and donor trends is massively helpful as well.

Pros

  • Data management
  • Details
  • Customization

Cons

  • There is a pretty steep learning curve. Not sure if there is a way around this but maybe if there was training built in.
  • It's kept our data super organized which is nice
  • We have been able to see trends over time
I think Salesforce has so much functionality that it makes it difficult in terms of overall usability. Once you can figure it out, it's a 10/10, it's just getting there. If you're willing to do the work to figure it out then you're golden. For what it's worth, I don't know if you're going to find something with this level of functionality that's easier to figure out.
I don't really know how to answer this question because I've never interacted with support for Salesforce for Nonprofits. I would imagine it's probably pretty good based on my interactions with the rest of the product, but I can't say for sure.
Salesforce is the #1 CRM for a reason. There isn't much else to say here. It's the industry standard, it's compatible with basically every third-party app you can think of. The problem with this question is that Salesforce does SO much that it's hard to know what it's not well suited for.
