Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

From consuming the BW /Datasphere datasets to planning solutions we are using SAC across various business areas

Pros

  • Live secured connections with authorization setups from BW
  • Easy navigations and widgets
  • Planning options

Cons

  • more variety of charts options like Gantt
  • easy commenting and saving of comments back to models between SAC and Datasphere that will be a game changer for business solutions
  • creating paginated reports as easy as in Power BI with live datasets
  • Handling high user base on data analyzer reports
  • Live connectivity with BW authorization is really good especially for financials and other Confidentials datasets
  • Should be flexible to create new dimensions on live datasets from BW/DATASPHERE it will be very useful
Based on some basic improvements in scope would love if all of them are considered and improved the tool more

In scenarios where I need to show plan project execution and progress it clearly needs Gantt charts so this is making us choose other front ends. Also with the text commenting on tables in SAC and having them saved especially the Datasphere is very crucial for some root cause analysis solutions
