Overall Satisfaction with SAP Build

We use SAP Build to develop ML use cases and AI applications.This involves, on the one hand, the provision of complex ML cases such as Monte Carlo simulations (for our risk reporting) and, on the other hand, the use of AI to fulfill regulatory requirements (BaFin, DORA).

Pros

  • Availability
  • Openness (use of different programming languages ​​and programming approaches)
  • Simplicity (easy to learn and easily expandable)

Cons

  • Simplified navigation of functions
  • Extended help functions
  • Use of AI agents in development
  • Acceleration in the fulfillment of regulatory tasks (60% expected)
  • Acceleration of development effort (more than 20% expected)
  • Reducing manual processes through increased automation
The only integration of SAP Build with other SAP tools concerns SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and SAP Datasphere as well as SAP HANA Cloud.
The advantages here are simpler and accelerated development.
We are currently in the process of exploiting these advantages, so a reliable statement is not yet possible.
It's said to be easy to use and requires no prior knowledge. But that's only half the truth. It requires a considerable amount of training. Once you've invested that time, the promises made are fulfilled.
It was not a decision against one of the tools but a decision to use both in parallel.

Whenever I want to map open, cross-functional scenarios, I use SAP Build.I still see difficulties in developing applications (learning progress is difficult to achieve).
