Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform
We use it for * SAP Build * SAP Cloud ALM * SAP Process Automation * SAP Workzone * SAP Identity Access Services * SAP Multibank Connectivity * SAP integration Suite + Event Mesh We are moving from Oracle EBS to S/4HANA PCE. We have a large amount of to-be-integrated products (SuccessFactors, Ariba, OpenText Document Management for SF and VIM, and 30+ non-SAP IT products). The Integration Suite is really good, and compared to the competitors, it is really surprising to see how the pricing works. Even the out-of-the-box connection capabilities are unreal.
- Authentication options - In the past, we needed to really leverage our own solutions for MFA and other security measures, but now, out-of-the-box these options are really good and readily available.
- Ease of use - the interface has been adjusted to be really easy on the eyes but also simpler, less convoluted, and really well thought out.
- Modernized SAP experience - compared to the old stuff, SAP is really modernizing all of the experiences. The new house style is rejuvenated, and the company is really becoming more likable compared to 10 years ago!
- SAP Discovery and Missions are a real treat to see what the upcoming costs are!
- The experience can sometimes be a little disorganized - products do not always give the same experience.
- The whole Neo and Cloud Foundry situation is unclear still - don't offer neo anymore.
- The BTP cockpit is not easy to understand and requires improved documentation - if that can be made simpler, it would be good.
- BTP Global Accounts and Sub-accounts and Folders.. can be confusing, a bit more guidance and simplification around it would be great.
- Citizen developers - The ability to make coding more accessible for SAP products.
- Centralized change and deployment without tools like SolMan.
SAP also has LC/NC capabilities, and it really is a step above the competition. We use Oracle APEX currently, but visually, it is a mess, and the upkeep is even worse. With SAP, the clean-core principle is right there from the start. The side-by-side extensibility options are really good!
