Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur

We use SAP Concur for expense processing. We connect to American Express to download transactions and each employee submits a report once per month. SAP Concur reports are synced to Quickbooks and bill.com for reimbursement.

Pros

  • Provides spaces for comments and categories
  • Calculates mileage and allows commuting miles to be deducted
  • Provides a summary when report is submitted

Cons

  • It does not categorize recurring charges correctly.
  • It frequently disconnects from American Express and has to be reconnected.
  • It used to have a setting for the default payment type. They got rid of it with no notice and have not replaced it in my experience.
  • SAP Concur is expensive and causes distress most months.
Things change frequently without notice.

SAP Concur consistently lets us down I feel; whether it's changing the interface without notice or removing useful features (see above). Many times the American Express connection is disconnected and sometimes will not reconnect causing all transactions to be added manually. SAP Concur has a lot of "bells and whistles" but the basic features need to be more consistent and intuitive.
