Overall Satisfaction with SAP Concur

I've been using SAP Concur for over a decade across multiple tech companies. It helps us move at lightning speed when it comes to client facing meetings, company events, corporate travel and office expenses. We're able to use the mobile app on the go to speed up the process and get it done in that very moment. It's easy to tag the appropriate users involved, upload receipts, images, etc. add additional comments for further reviewing, and more.

Pros

  • Booking corporate travel
  • Expensing corporate travel
  • Mobile app is user friendly

Cons

  • The UI is pretty outdated compared to other competitors that have a 2025+ modern and easier UX look and feel
  • Sometimes it's not the smoothest user journey. It can feel clunky across the different modules.
  • Poor UX/UI. Desktop sometimes feels easier than mobile.
  • This helped our GTM teams increase speed to bookings/expenses which helped our Finance department wrap things up quickly
  • Improved Productivity
  • Efficient platform
There are other platforms that have a better user experience and I think this is one major area SAP Concur needs to improve on.
Microsoft 365 is one of them and I believe we used to connect to NetSuite
I've used SAP Concur for 10 years but Navan was 10X easier to get onboarded and start using. Overall the company is happy with the change which puts SAP Concur in a tough position for win backs from customers that switched to Navan.

SAP Concur is great for companies with 500 employees or more. They're able to help companies scale and grow. They're also a good long term investment because employees will eventually get used to the process of using the platform, although there are more user friendly platforms out there. I wouldn't recommend a small startup use SAP Concur but if they're looking to do a lot of expensing and need a consistent process that doesn't exist today, it's worth considering.
