Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA
We use BW on HANA across the whole organization. We have vastly improved performance over the previous BI/BW implementation on Oracle.
Pros
- In-Memory has improved performance of BI reporting. Less need to work with DBA's in performance tuning, partitioning, building indexes etc.
Cons
- Nothing to report
- Reduced license cost for Oracle, and Oracle DBA's.
Real-time analytics on live transaction data is not a requirement for us yet.
Multiple data type support is great, however HANA is used only for SAP based systems at this time.
It is great to be able to use Database Stored procedures to embed complex business logic.
We have converted to BW/HANA
