Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA Cloud
We have SAP HANA PCE and we use it to transform data on the fly either from sources most from SAP that we replicate into HANA through SLT. We then expose the semantic layers into BW layer through reporting and or output to other downstream systems. The main business problem addressed is the ease to propagate additional fields and the lesser need to drop and reload as calculated data is not staged.
- Ease of field propagation
- The use of input parameters that can be pushed down to source tables
- The use of fields and not infobjects in the data structure
- Tools to analyse performance of the calculated views at field level
- Tools in showing the memory consumption at a HANA view point of view and not database level like in the planviz
- Search tool to find fields or key words in filters, calculated columns, etc.
- It made it easier for developers to implement logic and deploy as quicker timeline
- lesser data duplication and the need to load and reload when business logic change
- the promised faster HANA does not deliver on complex business logic and joins, so expectations of report users sometimes are not met.
It's better with regards to real time or live data analytics in comparison to SAP BW
