Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing HC3

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

HC3 is being used across the organisation. It has allowed us to refresh operating systems, migrate from 32bit OS to 64Bit operating systems. Snapshotting and cloning is very easy and new server VMs are built in rapid time.

Pros

Snapshots - very straightforward and can be scheduled
Cloning - easy to do from a snapshot
Creating VMs - is easy

Cons

Performance indicators - which VMs are utilising the most IOPs
Improved browser support

Support Rating

Easy to contact support from the customer portal via chat or email, then open a support connection direct to the cluster. You are then dealing with the Scale directly - no middle man!

Return on Investment

Our server uptime has increased tenfold
RTO and RPO windows have decreased dramatically

Alternatives Considered

We moved from a VMware ESXi environment with costly support and complex licensing structure to HC3. Though we did DD on a number of vendors, nutanix, simplivity, they relied on VMware hypervisor and still required the complex licensing. HC3 straightforward model and customer support, no hidden costs, with a simply and easy to manage UI.

Likelihood to Recommend

HC3 does very well in supporting our business needs across the exchange server to SQL databases.
