Overall Satisfaction with Scale Computing HC3

They do the best they can. The issues I have were just no answers surrounding V2V (reliance on a 2rd party tool doesn't help) and easier backups.
It is being used across an entire physical location, around 100 people. It hosts the core virtual machine infrastructure, which is 100% Windows.

Pros

  • Simple
  • Good Support

Cons

  • V2V is a complete nightmare. We ended up just giving up. This is half the reason we don't recommend Scale any longer.
  • Backups are a pain. VEEAM spoils you. With Scale you have to manage each endpoint at its layer. Frustrating, and the other half of the reason we don't recommend Scale.
  • No change.
Great for environment with simple needs and light-touch IT staff. It really is very simple and does what it does quite well.
