Overall Satisfaction with Schoology
Schoology is being used by our entire school district (K-12). Teachers are using it to assess student learning, share resources and communicate with each other. As we begin to add more parents to the system it will be used to communicate with parents as well and can help bring transparency to what is happening in schools.
- Digital content sharing
- Digital Assessment Options
- Digital Community and Online PLCs
- Badging system is not open.
- The ability to export and printing out rubrics and tests (can do this but it takes up a lot of space) but for students without computer access.
- Has several mobile apps but they all don't function the same (i.e. iOS users can edit items in their Schoology calendars while Android users cannot.).
- Teachers are sharing more resources and working to build out digital content.
- Teachers are saving time on grading and can focus on more important aspects than grading.
- Teachers are giving faster feedback to students.
- Canvas
We originally as a committee narrowed our list of LMS choices to Canvas and Schoology. While Canvas has some features Schoology was missing we felt that overall Schoology has a more user-friendly user interface.
