Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic SL1

Yes, it user friendly to access and check for the configurations, performances, and other server related details, rather than logging in to the server to check and rectify. And also at times the services shows differently in the config tab and in the server as well, there will be a few mismatches at the rarest.
We use ScienceLogic SL1 to monitor and keep tracks of all the alerts. We have created a dashboard in ScienceLogic SL1 which helps us to identify us which site has went down and which service is affected. With this it helps us to reach out to a particular team to resolve and rectify the issues at the earliest. Also with the alerts generation we will be able to know if the issues is resolved or still ongoing.

  • Triggers alerts if some service or site is down
  • Helps us to identify the exact issue to resolve as soon as possible
  • It is user friendly

Cons

  • In the unified view we have widget as HTML, it would be better if there is any room for other coding areas
  • It could be good if we could schedule time for suppression like how we have for maintenance window
  • I could think of only these 2 for now

It helps to understand the structure clearly. It gives us an alert showing that some service is down, or some site is down which will help us to rectify it at the earliest. Because of this MIM can be avoided, and since we will be notified at earliest we can resolve that at the earliest.
