Overall Satisfaction with SharpSpring

SharpSpring is being utilized by our sales and marketing team only. Before migrating to this program, we were using Microsoft Dynamics CRM. While this is a fantastic product in it's own right, it was overkill for what we were trying to accomplish. We needed something simple, that provided excellent visibility into all of the activities of our team, all the while reducing our sales cycle (starting from marketing campaigns to the final sale). A snapshot of the features and functionality that we use heavily are: email campaigns (and their effectiveness), website tracking, lead and opportunity tracking, and pipeline management. We also appreciate the flexibility it provides by having a web-based platform verses logging into a server; all that is needed is a browser and Internet connection. The mobile app is super convenient as well.
  • The user interface is clean and straightforward. Due to this, I did not require a lot of training to get up and running; a majority of it is very intuitive.
  • Email campaign analytics. We love the visibility it provides into what type of messages are getting the greatest reaction from our prospects and current customer base.
  • Pipeline review. I like the way you can easily move opportunities to different stages in your pipeline without having to open each one individually - this is a huge time saver.
  • Custom report building. We have added quite a few custom fields to our existing customer accounts, and it is very difficult to mine this data.
  • I'd love to see pages saved automatically. There are quite a few "Save Buttons" on each page that can be a little bit confusing. On the flip side, you can never accidentally leave a page without saving it. Uou will always get a reminder. This has saved me a few times!
  • The Status section of an opportunity is just one large text box. I would like to have the ability to add one line at a time, with a date time stamp.
  • We have been able to effectively manage a larger pipeline.
  • Our marketing team has been able to generate more quality interest in our product, due to the analytics of email campaigns. We are becoming quite proficient in staying one step ahead of our target market.
  • Data is presented in a clear fashion, allowing us to be more agile and respond faster to our target market.
Bottom line: SharpSpring is laser focused on the daily tasks of a sales and marketing team. While it might be great to have all of the bells and whistles of a full-blown CRM system, we have found that it is just not needed. It's much more intuitive, allowing us to train a new employee in the course of one hour, not two weeks. This is an invaluable tool, and our continued efficiency speaks volumes for the effectiveness of the product.
Less appropriate: companies that are looking for more of a full blown ERP, that would have additional functionality like CSR or account management.
More appropriate: SMB with an agile sales and marketing staff looking to simplify their sales process. Marketing staff who needs more visibility into their email campaigns; the ability to analyze is priceless!
