Overall Satisfaction with Shopify
We integrate with Shopify's eCommerce platform to provide our customers with first-rate shipping and fulfillment services. Shopify gives us a customer and order funnel, through which we build our base and take a significant amount of revenue. Most of the integration is at the software level, however we interact with the Shopify team directly for validation, verification, and platform approval purposes as well.
- Shopify's developer experience is fantastic. Their APIs are well-documented and useful.
- The Shopify team is easy to communicate with and are flexible to a number of business approaches to integration with their platform.
- Shopify unlocks a huge base of potential customers for eCommerce services companies.
- Just like anyone in the world, I'd like to be able to share less of my revenue with them than we currently do, but that's the cost of doing business.
- Shopify's community forum for developers is rarely helpful; you find a lot of novice programmers asking questions they could have answered with five minutes of critical thought and a browser directed at Google.com. Stronger moderation of these forums would be nice.
- Shopify has unlocked a new vertical for us that's significantly grown our business.
- Etsy, Ebay and Squarespace
We continue to integrate with all platforms. As far as Shopify goes, we've found them to be the easiest to work with and integrate with. Everything on their platform is set up for 3P expansion; you can tell they're serious about it and that it isn't just an afterthought to provide integration points for 3P services.
