Shopify is the backbone of our small e-commerce business. It provides a home to display all of our products to potential customers, and is packed with features and tools that give us control and confidence that we're always putting our best selves forward online. Shopify keeps us in the loop on how well our products are performing, while providing a lot of support on how we can best manage those products and our business in general online. They also allow developers to shine with their own app store with integrations made to solve any issues a business might have with presentation or organization of their store.

Constant support and guidance on global policies that might affect your business
Flexible app integrations with an open storefront to allow developers to create helpful services for businesses as they grow
Extremely customizable - allowing a business to shine and operate in their own unique way

Cons

Occasionally Shopify will leave some essential quality of life features (like raw material inventory management, bundled inventory items, etc.) up to external developers for a bit too long.

Return on Investment

Through just a few weeks of working on our storefront using the highly customizable theme templates on Shopify, we've seen a recent 1% increase in CTR universally, which is huge for our business.

Usability

Most of Shopify's features are well documented and easy to negotiate, even for a beginner in the e-commerce world. Most areas of the platform have several blog articles or message boards dedicated to them, which are very helpful for learning and implementing any new features you might want to. There are a few more complex areas that require a bit more of a learning curve, but the essentials are pretty well covered.
