Overall Satisfaction with SimilarWeb PRO

We use Similarweb PROas investors to analyse the trends in companies we are interested in for example if we are interested in an e-commerce platform and want to look at how the company and peers are performing - we use the Similarweb PRO Platform to pull in analytics about visits to the site and the monthly trends to be able to understand traction. It also helps us analyse app data for certain apps that is helpful in understanding app usage in interested companies.

Pros

  • Very clean and easy to use interface
  • Has an excellent historical database to be able to analyse anything over time
  • Good customer support in case of any questions or issues in adding users

Cons

  • Scope to improve accuracy of app data for example sometimes it differs from Semrush in the data and often times Semrush is closer to the actuals
  • Scope to add more features to the analytics like they have recently added "Deduplicated user" feature
  • Web analytics and its sub features like users, active users etc
  • App usage data
  • Saves time since we have a one stop shop for all the data now
  • Saves back and forth between multiple websites to analyse traffic
SimilarWeb PRO has more focus on the Web analytics than Semrush whereas Semrush does not have much focus on web but focuses on SEO and SEM optimization data which we required less here so we chose SimilarWeb PRO over Semrush to fulfil our use case

- Extremely well suited for web analytics and analysing any traction on the website
- Well suited for a competing comps analysis in case you would like to benchmark any company against its peers
- Also helps identify competition and ancillary websites that users visit after visiting any particular site to help see what are the competing websites and what are the payment portals etc that are being used
