Overall Satisfaction with Skilljar Customer Education Software

Skilljar Customer Education Software is our primarily LMS that is used for both internal and external enablement. We use it to support customers who want to learn how to use our solutions at scale. Some trainings are paid (live) and all elearning is free. We utilize storyline to implement our rise content into the LMS through courses and learning paths.
  • Email communications after course completion
  • Creating course shells rapidly and duplication
  • User management
  • Course surveys and feedback collection is an area of opportunity
  • Inability to send communications post completion of learning paths
  • Inability to manage user interface of the LMS
For the most part, the platform is easy to navigate from the front and back end. I offer a score of 8/10 because I find it confusing to locate certain things. For example, locating the tags functionality, posting courses based upon domain, and generally finding what is needed through long pages can be challenging at times.
I’m fairly experienced with LMS’ and don’t usually require help or support on topics. The CSM team is quite good overall however more than often time between meetings and solutions (at least from my experience) can take time. Regardless, the team has been helpful and answers all questions - or comes back with an emailed solution.

Yes

There is absolutely an ecosystem of products and solutions required to support and enable end users - one can think of them as an orchestra. Each part does a specific job or task and each has a varying degree of ease of use and compatibility. Skilljar is the container that holds all learning content that is developed through authoring tools such as rise and storyline. However this ecosystem is incomplete without a smooth way to collect user feedback or to have a proactive strategy of user engagement. Much of the lift is handled by a team of education professionals who understand this orchestra metaphor.
Skilljar Customer Education Software is a great solution for those who want an LMS that has moderately developed features. It’s useful for storing learning content and creating learning paths, but more can be desired for us instructional designers who want more control over the user interface and customization options. I enjoy using the system to understand analytics however often download them to aggregate with more developed dashboards and systems.
