Overall Satisfaction with Skype for Business (formerly Lync)

Skype for Business (now Teams) is used as our primary Instant messaging standard. It is also used for adhoc calls and desktop sharing. It has become the standard due to its integration with other Office/Msoft products, and general universal use in the IT space. It is easy to deploy, and the interface is generally recognizable to users.

Pros

  • Presence status works well

Cons

  • It is not a tool for developers (ie, Mattermost); it does not have developer type integration.
