Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use Slack as our instant messaging tool. We find it shortens the response loop with more control and audit capabilities than our previous tool "Lync".

Pros

  • Nice instant messaging tool
  • Integration with other Apps (e.g JIRA, Skype, BOX)
  • Organizing communications into channels
  • Sharing documents
  • Searchable history

Cons

  • No complaints
  • Reduced the feedback loop significantly, shortening response timeframes.
I much prefer Slack.
Slack works well internally and when contracting.
