Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SmartRecruiters is being used globally for our offices for all our hiring requirements.

Pros and Cons

Conversations between hiring managers and recruiters
Saving messages directly in candidate's profile
Organizing candidates by the hiring process

Messages not displaying as our email address
Job website is limited

Being able to apply with LinkedIn is fast and simple. However, with MPC being in the VFX industry candidates need to submit a portfolio in the form of a website and it isn't always easy. Most candidates have content in their portfolio that cannot be shown to the general public which is protected in the form of a password. There is no area to enter this password besides putting in a screening question, which is on a completely separate page of the applicant's application.

Usability for Hiring Managers

Hiring managers can track where candidates are in the hiring process. It eliminates the "what is going on with..." question.

Return on Investment

The admin setup extremely incomplete. We have been using SmartRecruiters for about 4 months now and to this day I am still setting up the system to our needs alone.
Saves time and helps organization of candidates.

Alternatives Considered

Taleo

The SmartRecruiters interface is much easier to work with however, the consequence is that you are almost more limited in functionality.

Likelihood to Recommend

Organization is amazing, but getting to the offer stage does not work well.
