Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Smartsheets are used to help manage product launches. Since so many teams across the organization are involved in the full product launch process, Smartsheets helps us keep an organized list and status on each item. It keeps us on task, and on time.

Easy collaboration & note sharing.
Work on tasks remotely.
Switch between views: List, calendar, gantt chart, etc.

Cons

Not very user friendly.
Limited activity log.
Pricey compared to other tools.

If you're looking for a super-powerful spreadsheet, this is for you. There is not a steep learning curve if you are familiar with spreadsheets. However, if you want something that has a better activity log, it is more user-friendly and agile, you're better off trying a more in-depth project management tool.
