Overall Satisfaction with SmartyAds DSP

SmartAds DSP is being used as an alternative to other traditional DSPs and exchanges we have been using. They have a lot of inventory, particularly in APAC and the CIS countries. We have worked with them and gotten mixed results, with a lot of traffic but not a lot of quality.
  • Lot of inventory
  • Easy to use UI
  • Support team is not very good.
  • Not a lot of direct traffic, mostly reseller traffic.
  • More inventory, more spend, ore budget, better ROI.
  • Fraud issues and refunds, decreasing ROI.
SmartyAds is more related to Cheetah than to MoPub or Smaato because these last two put a lot of focus on having direct unfiltered access to the publishers. At the same time, Cheetah and SmartyAds are mostly resellers. I believe that if you need a vast amount of traffic, you can use them, but you need to ix in some direct publishers to improve the quality of the campaigns.
SmartyAds DSP works mainly for campaigns that are not very concerned about brand safety. The main issue we have had with them has been related to fraud since they are resellers of a lot of inventory. If you need to run on traffic, that is 100% clean, and then you should try other DSPs.
