Overall Satisfaction with Snagit

Snagit has been implemented in all areas of our organisation. The sales team are using it to insert content into their reports, the support team now has imagery of client issues, and marketing are using it to complete tasks and projects.

This allows everyone in the business to be completely familiar with how to report an issue, create suitable content for their reports or even to grab content from various places for our Development meetings.

SnagIt is an efficient piece of software which is relatively easy to use. It has been implemented across our organisation and has been very popular with many of our product teams. Having used Camtasia for other projects, I can say that whilst its video recording facility is impressive - I personally prefer Camtasia for this type of work.
Our support teams are now using it extensively to allow them to gain a deeper understanding of where the issue is arising. The tool allows us to have a standardised approach to issue reporting and ensures that all of the support team are capturing content in the same manner. The built in facility to add content or mark up an image means that we can then add our own comments to relevant imagery as well.

2 - In my opinion there is very little support required for this application. Our entire team is supported by 2 people and even then the number of issues that occur can be counted on one hand. Personally I've never had an issue with the product and have never even had to go to either staff member with an issue.

  • We are currently looking into the possible methods that mobile capture could be used.
I think that the tool is excellent for what it is being used for. I particuarly like the ability to capture content from the screen whilst using the scroll wheel on my mouse. It is very annoying when your try to capture something with grab and you can't scroll which leads to multiple images.
