Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA)
Our company uses SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) to monitor our network and to provide historical data for all our VLANs and Internet connections. Whenever we have some kind of abnormal network traffic, such as a bandwidth hog, we can easily find the culprit through the easy-to-use GUI. SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) is a super helpful tool that should be in every network admin's toolbox.
Pros
- Monitoring data on the network
- Finding bandwidth hogs
- Drawing easy-to-read graphs
Cons
- NetFlow support for Cisco Firepower Next-Gen Firewall
- Before we had SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA), we had no way to see where the network traffic was going. Needless to say we had blind spots which we didn't know existed.
- SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) has been a very positive tool for our network management.
- SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm)
SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm) has a stripped-down version of NTA where you can see some data about network traffic; however, if you need to take a deep dive into exactly what is going on, you need SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA). We have also used dashboards from various sources, such as a Meraki Dashboard or a Cisco Firepower Dashboard, and they compare very well to SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA).
