Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor
We use SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) in IT. It's used to monitor all major servers to ensure minimal downtime for gaming and non-gaming applications, applications that are mission critical. We have SAM set for the entire department to monitor. It makes it pretty easy to put on a TV\Monitor in the office for everyone to see.
Pros
- SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) is very efficient at letting you know if there is a service that's not responding for some reason. It sends you an email notification along with a visual for monitoring.
- SAM is very good at reporting when a service or server comes back up. So if you're doing a reboot or an update SAM will notify you when it's back up. SAM makes things easy to monitor.
- SAM is very easy to setup and maintain.
Cons
- The only thing I feel could be improved upon is the interface. Making some minor tweaks to be more appealing to the eye. But still, I love this product.
- SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) has a very positive effect on saving you precious time at work for troubleshooting and keeping things in the know. The time it saves you to troubleshoot is worth its weight!
