Using SolarWinds to monitor the database performance. This is being used across the organization for all the domains. It has the scope to also monitor performance over the cloud platform.
- Easy to identify the issues and pin point the root cause for the issue.
- The analyzer has the ability to identify the most impacted queries that need to be optimized.
- Monitors multiple instances of the databases simultaneously.
- Some of the data display visuals are too complicated and outdated.
- Version upgrades are more complicated than it should be.
- Definitely had a positive impact due to the ease of identifying the exact area where optimization is required.

SolarWinds is more cost effective with all the features that it provides as compared to Datadog and SQL Sentry. configuration is simpler than the rest of the tools.
