Overall Satisfaction with SourceForge

I find Source Forge to be a very trustworthy platform to search for software, read their reviews, and make purchase decisions. The entire community is active on SourceForge and hence it makes for a great place to compare and contrast between various solutions. This is doubly true in the opensource world where there is very little accountability and everyone is promoting their solution.
  • Community presence
  • Open-source hosting
  • Trustworthy user reviews
  • Integration with popular IDEs.
  • A more coder-friendly UI like GitHub, etc.
  • Helped us to differentiate between good software and bad software easily.
  • Helped us find software without having to search all over the internet for it.
  • Gave us genuine reviews and feedback for the software.
I just think SourceForge is the best for a person who's not really interested in the code but only wants a trustworthy way to read about and decide which software to use.
