Overall Satisfaction with SourceForge

I use SourceForge in my organization to use a reference tool when vetting software to run our business. For example, if we are looking to add a new Expense software, I will collectively get my team's wish list and compare that with software reviews on SourceForge. This gives me the best solution to our needs while weighing what other users have experienced with the software.
  • Easily categorizes software by their industry type
  • Each software has a good amount of reviews to have a fair judgment
  • The reviews are meaningful and structured so you have all information needed to make a decision
  • There are some software products that are not available.
  • The option to save or reference software that I previously looked at would help narrow down to a final selection.
  • Available trial downloads through SourceForge would be ideal.
  • Easily filtered categories
  • Structured reviews that are trusted
  • Large database help reduce time needed reviewing across multiple websites.
  • Ensures our decision will accurately be represented when we go live with the software.
  • Expectations based on other users' reviews are on par with what you get from the software.
  • Saves me time and resources to make quick and educated decisions.

I am able to narrow down software recommendations with the least amount of effort. For example, trying to find email marketing software was a breeze because I have all the top email campaign software on one site to reference. In some instances, I wish that SourceForge had a trial link to the software so we can test them out.
