Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Spryker is used in our dedicated Spryker department/business-unit. The department uses Spryker to develop E-Commerce solutions for our customers in different fields ranging from both B2B and B2C cases.

Alternatives Considered

Symfony

Spryker offers the customizability of Symfony but adds predeveloped features and an infrastructure that is more suited for e-commerce projects. Because of it's structure and used patterns the code can be understood between multiple developers and even different companies that are also familiar with Spryker.

Support Rating

Especially for the first project Spryker offers a lot of support for developers to get used to Spryker and implement unique features that may be overwhelming for new teams. I can only rate the development support though, since I have little contact to other fields.
Community support is often helpful but due to the community's size more unique questions are often left unanswered.

Usability

Interesting concept and fun to develop with as soon as you get used to it. But until you reach that point it can be a hard and overwhelming journey.

Spryker is well suited for huge projects that require a solid infrastructure and scalability. Especially unique use-cases benefit from spryker's customizability and possibilities. Thanks to the well structured REST-API it's possible to develop non-traditional frontends that do not require a browser.
