Overall Satisfaction with SurveyMonkey
We are a small marketing firm that cannot afford to use the "high-priced" survey tools. We like to use SurveyMonkey to test out concepts for our clients and prospects as well as learn more about a specific market or industry without spending our limited funds on a research tool. It's great at providing a quick snapshot of a product or service.
Pros
- It's very cost-effective.
- It's very intuitive.
- Very robust with features like data analysis, skip logic, etc.
Cons
- More complex questions are a bit of a challenge to format in the software.
- While it does have a ton of free features - It would be nice if they could add a few of the premium (paid) features to the free version.
- The fact that their logo appears on the survey is a bit disconcerting, but I think many folks have come to accept this.
- Allow us to gather information for a new client pitch with minimal expense.
- Allows our current clients to conduct research at a reasonable cost.
- Can be used by every member of the marketing team.
By far the best option for the price. It allows a company to determine how important and beneficial market research is without investing huge dollars in a more robust solution. There are many features that make this software exceptional. Particularly, the design and interface, which is not only customizable but also professional looking and minimalistic. I think it certainly makes a lasting impression to an audience when your surveys look the part. It also makes data acquisition seamless for both the surveyor and respondent.
