Overall Satisfaction with Symantec Endpoint Protection
We use Symantec Endpoint Protection across our whole organization across 3 sites and it is managed centrally from our NJ location. It allows us to keep our machines secure from malicious software and easily stay updated with new threats.
- Centralized management of devices.
- Easily deployed to new devices either via an image or remote push.
- Virus definitions are kept up to date as new threats arise
- Better Malware/Ransomware protection. We had a user hit with a ransomware that Symantec didn't catch.
- Keeps IT intervention and management of devices and updates to a minimum
- Blocking malicious software allows our IT staff to focus on other objectives rather than having to "clean up" infections
It works very well but has had to use Malwarebytes in conjunction with Symantec to ensure that we were being covered and protected sufficiently. There are times that Symantec does not pick up on items that are infected that Malwarebytes has found on a scheduled scan.
