Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Desktop

Tableau Desktop is used for a team of 10 people for a project in the IT department. It is used to learn how to create dashboards for clients.

Pros

  • Data visualization
  • Quickly create interactive visualizations
  • Tableau can handle large amounts of data
  • Can use of other scripting language in Tableau

Cons

  • No Custom Visual Imports
  • Static and single value parameters
  • Screen Resolution on Tableau Dashboards
  • Custom formatting in Tableau
SSRS is poor in visualization and clients feel good while looking at dashboards compare to viewing reports on SSRS.
Histogram plot helps a lot with visualization.
