Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Desktop
Currently my organization is using Tableau Desktop to perform most if not all of our in-house analytics, it not only speeds up the process of our in house analytics but it also gives us plenty of options to customize and filter our reports. We also use Tableau as a consulting tool with our clients to help answer questions they have about their own business key performance indicators.
- Easy to use
- Plenty of Customization options
- Can be quick to pick up for average users
- Supports some complex analytics
- Integrates well with other software
- expensive
- does require some workarounds to solve sometimes simple analytics
- training for product is also very expensive
When we first looked at getting a visualization software for analytics we looked into two options Microsoft Power BI and Tableau Desktop, and even though Power BI is more cost-effective we decided to go with Tableau Desktop as it had more options that we are looking for such as free reader and Tableau Server and offers a very comprehensive and simple interface that is easier to learn for new staff.
