Overall Satisfaction with Taleo

I am a recruiter, and I used it to select and screen candidates for clients. It was used in the Human Resource Department but I am not sure if was used around the whole organization. ATS are used to find candidates, and I could disqualify unsuitable and forward suitable candidates to the next step. I found it user friendly and much easier to use that Brass Ring.
  • easy to learn
  • easy to use
  • It is well known
  • it was hard to source candidates who were already in the database to see if they were a fit for another job
  • It would be very convenient if people could apply using their Linked In accounts
  • Can you forward people to different requisitions or do they have to apply to multiple jobs?
  • Legal compliance- Everyone had to apply for the position
  • better customer service- could communicate with the applicant
  • Better efficiency - could easily find candidates
I was not in the selection process. However, I found it easier to use than Brass Ring. However, I don't think it is as good as My Recruit.
Taleo was easy to learn and use. However, I think it needs some improvements. I like the ability to use multiple platforms to apply to the ATS as well as the ability to use Linked In to apply for jobs. It gives applicant a better experience and they are more likely to apply. Candidates loose interest in the job if the ATS is too complicated.
I would look for an ATS system that was easy to learn, that allowed candidates to use multiple computers to apply (I.e. MACs, Tablets, or Smartphones). Candidate could use their Linked In or other accounts to apply. I would also recommend an ATM where it was easy for recruiters to transfer candidates from one requisition to another making it less difficult for the candidate.
