Overall Satisfaction with Text-Em-All
Traditionally, we had used Call-Em-All (before it changed to Text-Em-All) to notify our employees of office closures due to inclement weather. We then expanded the use of the platform to notify employees when internal systems were down. Instead, we no longer use the call feature and opt for the text feature.
Pros
- Easy Upload of Recipients
- Easy Interface
- Ability to create groups
- Ability to self-manage administrative users
- Simple to use, so there is no need to contact support.
Cons
- Sometimes it takes a while for the texts to go through to employees. This is problematic when time is of the essence.
- There is no automated integration with our HRIS.
- The pricing structure is per text, and SMS has a character limit, so sometimes the messages have to go in multiples, increasing the cost. I'd like to see an unlimited-use plan.
- Quick upload of employee names and numbers
- Ability to store names and numbers for future use
- Ease of use.
- Positive: It centralizes communication, making it easier to reach everyone at once.
- Positive: Nearly all our hourly employees don't have e-mail on their phones, so text or phone is the only way to reach them after hours.
- Positive: Allows employees to respond to messaging and notify admins via e-mail, so we don't have the monitor the platform.
We have evaluated UKG Pro for this service because it is our HRIS. After careful consideration, we decided not to proceed with UKG Pro primarily due to the higher cost associated with their monthly subscription. Since our organization doesn't send many messages via this communication medium to employees, we found that Text-Em-All offers a more cost-effective solution.
