Overall Satisfaction with Text-Em-All
Text-Em-All has allowed us to connect with our company more readily. Many of our users work in the field and have minimal skill and exposure to technology, email management, or other 3rd party software services. Text-Em-All has allowed us to easily send company updates and information (like Safety Meeting schedules & reminders) and know that our guys are seeing them. We have received very positive feedback from our crews- they feel more connected than ever. It's turned around our intracompany communication. We started with the per-text plan and upgraded to the monthly membership within a week or two.
Pros
- The 'Yes / No Survey' option is super helpful. We use it when we have weekend work opportunities and pull the report at our deadline.
- At first, the character limit is challenging, but it does keep things short and sweet.
- Our team loves that user responses come to the central hub so that the admins can manage accordingly.
Cons
- They don't allow for 'intro' texts. During the onboarding process, we add their number to the correct text groups -- but it could be a while before they get their first text from the service. It would be nice to send an auto text to new members like "Hi, You've been added to XXX Text service. You'll receive XXX via this line, so save our number :)."
- It would be nice to have an automatic header. Since they can't do an auto text, having a set header like "COMPANY NAME TEXT LINE:" followed by the typed message would be nice. Typing a header eats up 1/4 of the allotted characters. It would just serve as a quick reminder.
- Positive: We are confident that our team sees the information.
- Positive: Text-Em-All is very quick to use.
- Positive: We now have centralized responses with no need for the pamming of email inboxes.
Telynx couldn't perform half of the functions, and their customer service was wildly frustrating. It's one thing if the service just isn't fit, but their customer service was calling me & emailing daily to work on "fixes" to make the product work for me. I finally had to say, "This shouldn't be this hard, guys; I'm going elsewhere." That was after multiple days of letting them work on their ideas. They kept contacting me even after I told them I was going elsewhere. I ended up having to block them.
