Overall Satisfaction with Text-Em-All

Text-Em-All is being used in conjunction with our email communications software to improve member engagement with various meetings and activities. Typically we sent 1-3 messages per week utilizing both text and voice. In addition, we followup with email communication to enhance the member experience. We have a wide age demographic that leans heavily toward the 60+ end of the spectrum. However, the younger members appreciate the fact that we have adopted multiple modes of communication to better fit their preferences. Overall, between Text-Em-All and our email platform, we have seen an increase in member engagement that justifies the expense.

Pros

  • Fairly straight forward to use with a short learning curve.
  • Ability to select a plan that best fits the needs of the organization.
  • Ability to send voice and text to the same phone simultaneously.

Cons

  • It would be nice to be able to upload a fresh list of number from our MMS and allow the user to compare matched entries.
  • Allow splitting of text and voice portions of a broadcast for different dates/times without the need to create separate broadcasts.
  • Make it simpler to utilize the API for locals non-profits whose parent organization does not pay for the service and is optional for local units.

Being a non-profit, Text-Em-All is a great way to improve member engagement while shrinking our postal budget. The current cost per member for the monthly plan works out to about 25¢ per day. When this is broken down to the broadcast level for our organization we are experiencing a cost of about 3¢ per member. Overall with the ever increasing postal rates, this service is much more cost effective.
