Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific

Thinkific is a wonderful learning management software. It is being used across the whole organization and I recommend it to clients. This software helps us solve the problem of storing and presenting training materials. Instead of creating separate documents, videos, PDFs and PowerPoint presentations this also use to combine various types of media into one platform.
  • Classroom-style course outlines.
  • Quizzes and other knowledge checks.
  • Better corporate pricing for users that are not charging for courses.
  • Allowing the users to be split versus paid and unpaid.
  • Positive having one platform for training materials.
  • Another positive is the multiple selections of materials to upload.
Thinkific is easier to use, and has a lower price point than Teachable. Thinkific has better site tools and customization. Teachable has better marketing tools but it was not a feature we needed. Thinkific has a limited free edition. I liked the customizable branding of Thinkific. Another benefit of Thinkific was its drag and drop features to build your courses.
There were not many instances that we need or needed to reach out to support. The support levels depend on your plan. But the support was far-ranging. Customer support consists of blogs, resource centers, and countless FAQs. They do make it easy for you to find your own resources and they have a Facebook group you can join to connect with other users.

Online course creators are an area they do well for and seem to market to them. I would like to see a lower price point for those users that are not charging for their courses. It is well suited for finding and storing all kinds of training materials in one location.

Using Thinkific

6 - Thinkific is an excellent LMS - Learning Management Software. Ideally created and marketed for course creators, we have used it for in house company training. It has worked wonderfully so far. Its core feature is that you create courses and then charge for students to take your courses. We do not charge but use it as a self-learning pace for training.
1 - Anyone slightly tech-savvy can use Thinkific. Basic common knowledge of putting together course work is a skill needed. Thinkific does a great job using drag and drops to put together modules for courses, so the learning curve is small. We only use 1 staff member to organize and upload the content for our courses.

We will continue to use Thinkific for our company pieces of training. Until we are able to create our own in house portal, this is an excellent source to have a learning management software tool that is easy to use and easy to implement without much technical training to administer.
