Thinkific

Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific

Thinkific is used to deliver structured online certificate programs in a specialized training context. It supports asynchronous learning through video modules, downloadable resources, quizzes, and assessments. The platform meets operational needs like scalable content delivery and smooth onboarding after initial lead conversion. While not designed for lead acquisition, it ensures learners gain access to educational material post-purchase. Progress tracking and basic segmentation for follow-ups are supported, but integration with CRM and marketing tools is limited. The current use is functional, with a focus on course delivery rather than fostering community or interactive engagement.

Pros

  • Modular Course Structuring
  • Drip Scheduling & Progression Control
  • Completion Tracking & Reporting

Cons

  • Limited CRM and Marketing Integration without extra fee...
  • Weak Reporting and Analytics
  • Course Customization Is Rigid
  • Could use more AI for courses
  • Enables scalable delivery of high-margin certificates
  • Limits lifecycle value optimization
  • No measurable boost in engagement or referrals
It's pretty intuitive, although I think the user profiles are very limited and it’s hindering us from tailoring the experience or follow-ups effectively. We can’t tag or segment users deeply, which makes it harder to automate nurturing or identify at-risk learners. Overall, it’s functional but lacks personalization flexibility.
Better than Absorb and TalentLMS but, in my opinion, worst than LearnWorlds.

Do you think Thinkific delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Thinkific's feature set?

No

Did Thinkific live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Thinkific go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Thinkific again?

No

Thinkific works well for structured, asynchronous course delivery, where learners progress through pre-recorded modules with quizzes and downloads. It doesn't work well with our CRM (without an extra fee) and the Zoom integration could be better. I'm not a fan of having people log into zoom instead of logging into their Thinkific portal.
