Overall Satisfaction with ThoughtSpot

ThoughtSpot is being used by a number of departments at our company. It allows the average user to access data quickly and make sound business decisions.
  • Adhoc search.
  • Instantaneous visualization.
  • Getting access to data fast.
  • Formulas - i.e. aggregation of data for common financial time periods are cumbersome.
  • Formatting - Not able to apply basic formatting, it makes tables hard to read.
  • Querying - Restricted to querying only one worksheet at a time.
  • When sharing scheduled reports - PDF or CVS attachments don't do the report justice, format-wise and visually.
  • Need more time with ThoughtSpot to provide feedback.
If you are searching for basic adhoc data, maybe a day but if you want to build intuitive and meaningful dashboards that could be used weekly by your department, then a lot more time is required.
So far, I would say data is accurate and timely.
I would say 8 since the usability goes down when you want to get specific, produce curated content, etc.
The strength of ThoughtSpot is that it allows anyone in the organization to have access to data fast and easily, but if you are a report builder you may be better off with another BI tool (i.e. Power BI, etc).
